Kelowna • Okanagan • Gutter Protection GUTTER
GUARDS.

Custom aluminum or galvanized steel gutter guards, formed to the exact profile of your gutter and screwed to the gutter itself. Built for pine needles, heavy rain, debris and Okanagan freeze-thaw. Far less time on a ladder, and gutters that keep draining.

Clogged Gutters Are More Than an Eyesore.

The Okanagan’s pine trees, cottonwoods, and seasonal winds send a constant stream of debris into your gutters. Clogged gutters overflow, sending water down your fascia, into your foundation, and behind your siding. The damage happens silently and compounds fast.

Water left standing in a blocked gutter freezes. Fascia boards rot. Foundation erosion begins. And every spring, you’re back on the ladder — or paying someone to climb up there for you. The fix is a guard that actually fits your gutter — which is why ours are formed to order, made to your exact profile rather than trimmed from a stock length.

A Gutter Guard Has One Job — and three ways to fail at it

Water in. Debris out. Every guard on the market claims both; the difference is what happens in a downpour, what happens when the needles are wet, and what happens when it freezes. Here is how ours is built to handle all three.

01

Water In, Under Load

The failure nobody expects: a guard that sheds debris beautifully and then sends a heavy rain straight over the front lip. Flow capacity is the first thing we design for — a guard that overshoots in a storm is doing the same damage as a clogged gutter.

02

Debris Out — Including Needles

Leaves are the easy case. The Okanagan’s real problem is pine and fir needles, which stand upright in a mesh and knit into a mat. The opening pattern has to be small enough to reject a needle and open enough to pass water, which is the whole engineering problem.

03

Survives the Freeze-Thaw

Our winter runs a roof through the same cycle dozens of times: melt, refreeze, melt again. A guard that traps standing water becomes an ice tray, and ice is what warps a gutter off its fascia. Ours is built to drain and to take a snow load.

Made to Your Gutter.

Most gutter guards are bought by the box in fixed lengths and made to fit whatever they land on. Ours are made from heavy-gauge aluminum or galvanized steel, cut and formed to the actual profile of your gutter — so they sit down properly instead of bridging, gapping, or lifting at the seams.

It is screwed to the gutter itself and never touches the shingles, so your roof is left exactly as it was.

Installs are backed by our workmanship warranty.

Formed to your gutter

Measured run by run. No off-the-shelf width that almost fits.

Aluminum or galvanized steel

Chosen for the exposure — tree cover, pitch, and how much water the run has to carry.

Fastened to the gutter

Screwed to the gutter, clear of the roof.

Installed by roofers

The crew fitting it are roofers.

Prefer a manufactured system? We also install the T-Rex® Continuous Hanger™ by Alu-Rex, which carries its own manufacturer warranty. We’ll quote either — but on most Okanagan homes our own guard is the better fit, and we’ll tell you why on site.

How the Job Goes

Step 01

Inspection & Measurement

We inspect your existing gutter system, measure every run, and assess your roof’s debris exposure — tree canopy, roof pitch, and drainage patterns. We recommend the right guard for your property — aluminum or galvanized steel, and the opening pattern that suits your debris load. We identify any gutter repairs needed before guard installation.

Step 02

Forming & Install

Guards are formed to match your gutter profile, then fitted on site. They’re screwed to the gutter with stainless steel fasteners — no adhesives and no clip-on fixings. Joints are sealed and corners mitred.

Step 03

Final Flow Test & Walkthrough

You get a walkthrough of the finished job, and gutters that need far less of your time on a ladder.

Got Questions?

Yes — that’s the case we build for. Leaves are the easy problem; pine and fir needles are the hard one, because a needle stands on end and threads straight through a coarse screen, then knits into a mat that sheds water off the front of the gutter. Our guards are perforated with needles in mind, and open enough for a heavy rain. This is not the big-box plastic screen you clip on in an afternoon.
In most cases, yes — and this is the advantage of having them formed to order. We form guards for standard 5″ and 6″ K-style gutters, half-round gutters, and commercial box gutters, bending each run to the profile in front of us rather than hunting for a stock length that nearly fits. During the free inspection we’ll assess your gutter condition and tell you if anything needs repair first.
It depends on how much gutter there is and how the roof is laid out. We will tell you what to expect for your property once we have seen it.
Ours are formed from heavy-gauge aluminum or galvanized steel to your gutter’s actual profile, so they fit properly on non-standard runs where an off-the-shelf length won’t sit right. T-Rex® by Alu-Rex is a manufactured alternative we also install, and it carries its own manufacturer warranty. On most Okanagan homes we’d put our own guard on — we’ll walk you through the reasoning on site.
No. The guards are screwed to the gutters and do not touch the shingles or the roof.
