Kelowna • Okanagan • Skylight Solutions SKYLIGHTS.
Columbia and VELUX skylights, fitted and flashed across the Okanagan.
Most skylight leaks start at the flashing, not the glass.
Skylights rarely fail on their own. The sealed glazing unit is the part least likely to give you trouble. What fails is the integration — the flashing, the curb construction, the seal between the skylight and the surrounding roofing system. That’s an installation problem, not a product problem.
Sometimes it is not a leak at all but condensation, so we check that first.
So we treat a skylight as what it is: a hole cut in a working roof, detailed like any other critical penetration. How that gets done depends on the roof — the covering, the slope, whether it is new work or going into an existing roof, and what the manufacturer calls for on that unit. The detail is worked out for the roof it is going on.

Complete Skylight Solutions
New Installations
The whole job on the roof: cutting and framing the opening, the flashing, and tying it into the roof. One trade for all of it, so nobody is pointing at anybody else if it leaks.
Replacements & Upgrades
Old, foggy, or leaking skylights replaced with modern, energy-efficient units. We handle the swap on the roof — removal, curb upgrade if needed and new flashing — and coordinate the interior trim where it is needed.
Leak Repair
Finding out where a leaking skylight is actually letting water in, which is rarely where the stain shows up inside, and fixing that rather than sealing over it. Sometimes the unit is fine and the flashing was never right.
Flashing Does The Work
A skylight is flashed to the roof it sits in, to the manufacturer’s instructions for that unit. Sealant has its place in that, where the instructions put it — what it cannot do is stand in for flashing. A skylight bedded in caulk instead of flashed is the one we get called out to fix.
Energy-Efficient Glass
Low-E coatings and argon-filled double or triple glazing. On a west-facing Okanagan roof in July, this is the difference between a skylight you enjoy and one you end up covering over.
Tubular Skylights
Tubular skylights for bathrooms, hallways and closets, and spaces where traditional skylights won’t fit. Capture light on the roof and deliver it through a reflective tube to any room below.

Find the Right Skylight for Your Space
Fixed Skylights
Non-opening skylights for maximum light with minimal complexity. Ideal for vaulted ceilings, stairwells, and any space where ventilation isn’t needed.
Living rooms • Hallways • Stairwells
- Clear glass, nothing in the way
- A lower-cost option
- No moving parts to maintain
Venting Skylights
Skylights that open to provide fresh air circulation alongside natural light. Manual or electric operation. Rain sensors available for automatic closing.
Kitchens • Bathrooms • Bedrooms
- Fresh air + natural light
- Electric or manual operation
- Rain sensor available
Tubular Skylights
Tubular skylights that capture light on the roof and deliver it through a reflective tube to interior rooms. Usually fits between the rafters without cutting any framing.
Bathrooms • Closets • Interior rooms
- Usually no framing changes
- Works between existing rafters
- Fits spaces traditional skylights can’t
Acrylic Domes
Curb-mounted and glazed in acrylic rather than glass. The dome shape sheds water and snow, which suits a low slope, and acrylic stands up to an impact better than glass.
Low slope • Shops & garages • Commercial
- Single or double dome
- Spreads light rather than framing a view
- Curb-mounted on flat or pitched
