Storm Damage Roof Repair.

We repair storm, wind and hail damage on roofs across Kelowna and the Okanagan, and we can document what we find and work with your adjuster.

What a storm does to a roof.

A hard blow or a heavy snow load is worth a look even if nothing is showing inside. Wind damage is routinely worse from up there than it looks from the ground.

We check the whole roof, not just the bare patch, and give you photos of what we find with a quote to fix it.

01

Wind

Lifted or missing shingles, peeled membrane edges, torn edge metal. A shingle that stayed on may have come unsealed, and the next storm can take it.

02

Hail

Hail can knock the granules off shingles and leave bare asphalt, crack them and dent the vents. It isn’t always obvious, and the worst of it can lead to leaks.

03

Water

With shingles or a vent gone, the roof is open. Left alone it will leak, and then the damage stops being a roof problem and becomes an interior one.

Our crews after Okanagan storms.

Castanet News covered our crews repairing storm damage twice in 2023: after the Tower Ranch windstorm in April, and after the storm in West Kelowna in July.

Leaks.

An active leak usually gets a temporary measure first to stop the water, then the permanent repair once it can be done properly. Outside office hours, leave a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

Inspection.

We go over the roof, photograph what we find, and give you the photos and a quote to fix it. The inspection, the photos and the quote are free. Damage documented while it’s fresh is far harder for an insurer to dispute.

Repair or Replace.

An isolated failure on a roof with years left is worth repairing. Widespread damage, or a roof near the end of its life, usually means a new one, and we will tell you which one you have. If it comes to a replacement, we can document what we find and work with your adjuster.

The insurance claim.

We work with insurers on storm damage and other insured claims, and we can help guide you through the claims process.

We document what failed and why, with the photographs and detail your adjuster needs, and do the remedial work once the claim is settled. If your insurer wants a formal inspection report, we produce one for a fee.

Kelowna and the Okanagan.

We work the full valley, from Armstrong and Vernon down to Penticton: Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachland and Summerland. We also take jobs further out, including Salmon Arm, Revelstoke, Oliver, Osoyoos, Big White and Merritt, where a travel fee may apply.

Storm damage questions.

Yes. We repair storm, wind and hail damage on flat roofs and pitched, homes and commercial buildings, across Kelowna and the Okanagan.
From the ground, look for missing shingles, and for shingles in the yard. There is often more up there than shows from below, so we check the whole roof, not just the bare patch. The inspection is free.
Yes. Hail can knock the granules off shingles, crack them and dent the vents, and it isn’t always obvious. The worst of it can lead to leaks, so a roof is worth a look after a hailstorm.

We can document what failed and why, and provide the photographs and detail your adjuster needs. We are roofers rather than adjusters, so we describe what we find rather than negotiate the claim for you.
