Sun, Wind & Fire.

Twice Kelowna’s average wind, about 29 days a year over 30 °C, and fire season on top. Roofs here get all three.

01

Wind

Penticton’s average wind is about twice Kelowna’s, with about five days a year of winds at 52 km/h or more (Environment Canada). We install shingles with wind warranties up to 210 km/h.

02

Heat

About 29 days a year top 30 °C here (Environment Canada), and roofs bake. Ventilation and a membrane made for sun are what keep a roof from ageing early.

03

Fire Season

The City of Penticton’s FireSmart rebate covers half the cost of eligible work, up to $1,000, and Class A fire-rated roofing is on its list (City of Penticton, 2026). Strata buildings can apply too.

Penticton questions.

Yes. Penticton is part of our regular area, and we work the whole way up the valley from here to Armstrong.
For a house, a like-for-like re-roof usually doesn’t need one. Adding skylights or dormers, or going from shakes to shingles, does (City of Penticton Building Bulletin 13-01). We’ll tell you which yours is.
If it’s a Class A fire-rated roof, it’s on the city’s eligible list: half the cost, up to $1,000, after a free assessment. Check the city’s FireSmart page for this year’s details.
Yes: flat roofs on shops, offices and low-rise buildings, in torch-on, TPO or EPDM.
